Secure Source Code Review

Static code audits combined with manual code path tracing to identify subtle vulnerabilities before production deployment.

Last reviewed by Rhitik Kumar, Lead Offensive Security Engineer.

Scope of Assessment

Our security engineers walk through high-risk modules (auth, crypto, billing) line-by-line, providing actionable code fixes to eliminate weaknesses from the source.

Java, TS/JS, Go, Python, C#
High-risk code-path tracing
Secrets & key leakage audits
Dependency tree security review

How the engagement runs

  1. 01

    Scoping and repository access

We agree which repositories, branches and modules are in scope and take read-only access. High-risk areas — authentication, cryptography, payments, access control — are prioritised.

  2. 02

    Automated static analysis

Static analysis and secret scanning run across the codebase and its history to establish a baseline and surface obvious defects.

  3. 03

    Manual code path tracing

Engineers read the high-risk modules line by line and trace untrusted input from entry point to sink, which is where the flaws that scanners miss actually live.

  4. 04

    Reporting and fix review

Findings cite file and line, explain the exploitable path, and include a corrected code sample. We review your fix once it lands.

What you receive

  • Findings referenced to file, line and commit
  • Exploitable data flow traced from input to sink
  • Corrected code samples in your language and framework
  • Secrets and credential leakage report covering git history
  • Fix review after remediation

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you read the code manually?

Yes. While we use automated tools for initial maps, our senior security engineers review critical modules manually.

Does our code leave our environment?

Only if you allow it. Review can run inside your environment or on an isolated system under NDA, with access revoked and copies destroyed at the end of the engagement.

Which languages do you review?

Java, TypeScript and JavaScript, Go, Python and C# are covered directly. Other languages are scoped case by case.

How does this compare to a pentest?

A pentest finds what is exploitable from outside. Code review finds what is wrong inside, including flaws on paths no external test happened to reach. Together they cover far more than either alone.

Let's map out your testing strategy.
